Here at Ashland we seek to be Companions in Faith. Ashland is a community of believers who feel a deep sense of call to serve God and our neighbor. Building relationships with those whom we serve is vital to our understanding of discipleship. Worshiping together binds us in heart and mind and focuses our attention on our Creator. We believe deeply that we must also put that faith into action as Jesus did. We also believe sincerely that we are here to support and love each other in community, lifting each other up when we are struggling and celebrating together in joy.
Ashland Church was built in 1874 for the Ashland Ironworks workers and their families. What was once a small country church far from the city of Baltimore is now located in the thriving suburb of Hunt Valley. In the 1980’s Ashland Preschool was started to help serve the needs of our growing community. We are grateful to have so many years in service to this loving community.
Ashland is looking to the future through several community engagement initiatives. We are expanding our online presence and outreach as well as looking for ways to build relationships with our ever expanding community. We are also happy to reconnect with those missions we have had years of relationships with since the shutdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
