Congregational Care

Ashland Church Family Members are encouraged to contact pastor Brett Morgan or the Congregational Care Committee whenever you know of anyone in need of care and/or prayers ... or when you have a joy or a blessing to share.  Individual prayer concerns will be posted weekly in the bulletin, with permission.

Prayers of Joy and Thanksgiving for...

a faithful God who hears and answers every prayer.

We hold up in our prayers concern for....

Our mission partners at home and around the world, including
Africa, Cuba, El Salvador, Nicaragua, the Philippines, and Guatemala.

The people of Malawi -- including the children and caregivers in Fletcher Padoko's Kasupe Orphan's Care Group who are facing a critical food shortage.

Our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua and the US Gulf Coast who continue to suffer the effects of last season's many devastating storms.

Those people in Afghanistan, Israel, Iraq, Palestine and elsewhere who are working and praying for peace, freedom and self-determination.

The people of Guatemala, Pakistan and India struggling to survive and recover from earthquakes.

Church family members and friends affected by illness, injury, personal loss, war and all the challenges of life.

We continue to support each other always with our prayers and outward expressions of love and concern.

The Peace Candle...
We light a candle at the beginning of our worship service as a tangible symbol of our prayers for peace.  It reminds us to find a quiet, still place in our hearts to pray for the peace that God desires for everyone, everywhere.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance continues to work alongside other faith-based and secular local and international aid agencies in all of these areas.  For details on how we can join in this on-going worldwide effort to help, visit Presbyterian Disaster Relief or see the main bulletin board in the church hallway.  Financial contributions can be made directly to PDA, or through Ashland Church with checks made payable to APC and clearly marked PD HURRICANE, EARTHQUAKE, GUATEMALA or MALAWI.   Thank you!
