Worship in the Park

On Sunday August 1, at 10:15 am, we will be worshipping in Oregon Ridge Park instead of in our sanctuary.  Just a few minutes west of the Shawan Road exits off I-83, Oregon Ricge Park features covered picnic pavilions, modern restrooms, a state-of-the-art playground, hiking trails, a nature center and ample parking.  We have reserved the "Arts and Sciences" Pavilion, directly behind the main office building near the parking lot.

Following the service, there will be a picnic in the pavilion, volleyball, horseshoes, games and playground time.  There are several grills next to the pavilion for cook-outs.  If you are staying for the picnic, please bring your food, utensils, plates, cups, beverages (no alcohol - park rules), ice, and a cooler, if necessary.  If you wish to sit on something other than a picnic bench, bring a lawn chair.

If there is pouring rain on August 1st, we will worship at the church.  If there is a slight shower or intermittent showers, we will worship in the park.   If in doubt, call the church or check the church web site to confirm the location of the service.

We're very excited about experiencing God's creation in this outdoor service and hope that you will join us!

Mission Opportunities

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Mission Fair on April18.  It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the diversity of Ashland's mission program, from local projects supporting the Linus Project, UCAN, Habitat for Humanity, and Sarah's Hope to our international partnerships in Cuba, Guatemala, Malawi and the Phillipines.  It was exciting to have Sarah Padoko and Mairolet Vega Comas join us in person for the fair.  If you would like to learn more about Ashland's mission projects contact John Walter through the church office.
