Welcome to Ashland Presbyterian Ashland Presbyterian Church OUR CHURCH Sunday Services and Christian Education opportunities include the Contemporary Worship Service, Sunday School Classes for all ages, Adult Bible Studies, Lectio Divina, a "Between Services Adult Fellowship Time" and the Traditional Worship Service. Regular worship times and Christian education classes are in effect from the first Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day. Summer worship hours are in effect from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There are no children's Sunday School classes during the summer. The Contemporary Worship Service is a Spirited, "family friendly" and joyously interactive expression of music as prayer. The Contemporary Worship Team leads the congregation in songs of praise, spiritual reflection, scripture and prayer. Communion is usually offered on the first Sunday of each month. The Traditional Worship Service, with Holy Communion celebrated the first Sunday of the month, is offered to inspire, instruct, and enable all to realize the mission of the Church. A "Time for Children" is an important element of the Service. Ashland's Second Sunday Special Music Program enriches this worship experience and provides an opportunity for many talented musicians to offer their special gifts as prayers. From brass to bluegrass, if the music glorifies God you may find it here during our morning worship service on any given second Sunday throughout the year! Guest musicians have included violinist Rachel Arron Stockton, Jim Wharton's Brass Reflections ensemble, The County Council bluegrass band, soprano Sandra Holland Losemann, flutists Michele Grdn, Nancy Paulis and Nancy Stagnitta, the oboe and bassoon duo "Arioso", and trumpeter Greg Small, among others. Child care and a shuttle from the Broadmead Retirement Community are provided for both services. Sunday School Directions
