Spiritual Development

Christian education programs are available for seekers of ALL ages, between worship services from 9:50 to 10:50 a.m. on Sunday mornings, from September through May. 

The curriculum for school aged students is ""Seasons of the Spirit".  Parents and families of Sunday School children are invited to join in their children's exploration of "Seasons of the Spirit", enabling them to share with you what they're learning each week, and adding your own prayerful refelctions to their lessons (see side menu).

Adults have a variety pf opportunities for their personal growth on Sunday mornings, including:  

  • An adults' Bible study and discussion group
  • A small Lectio Devina group

Ashland Church also offers a variety of special faith exploration events at various times throughout the year.  We invite both adults and youth to bring their neighbors and friends and join Pastor Brett Morgan for ...

Ash Wednesday Service
February 6th at 7:00 p.m.
followed by Part I of a new
LENTEN & SPRING STUDY SERIES


Dr. Morgan will moderate this 12-part DVD and Web based series of presentations and discussions.   Living the Questions features well known scholars speaking on some of the critical contemporary questions that believers and seekers alike will find interesting, engaging and challenging.  Beginning immediately after our Ash Wednesday service on February 6, we will receive an invitation to journey ... then we'll meet every Wednesday through April 23 from 7-8:30 p.m. to explore the following topics:

- thinking theologically
- creativity & stories of creation
- restoring relationships
- evil, suffering & a God of love
- intimacy with God
- social justice
- a kingdom without walls
- lives of Jesus
- compassion: the heart of Jesus' ministry
- a passion for Christ: Paul the Apostle
- out into the world: challenges
facing progressive Christianity

Attendance at every session is not required to benefit from this enlightening program of Christian invitation, initiation and spiritual development.  Please come whenever you can ...
